		James Preston James Preston is the owner and director of training for Preston Tactical. He is a Texas Peace Officer who holds a Master Peace Officer certification and has been in law enforcement for over 12 years. James graduated first in his class at the police academy. He is a TCLEOSE-certified instructor, firearms instructor, field training officer, and is SWAT certified. He is also a certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and Concealed Handgun License instructor. James has held assignments in uniform patrol, special operations/tactical division, training division, and worked as a patrol supervisor . He previously taught traditional-style martial arts with an emphasis on defense rather than sport. James has logged thousands of hours training amongst various federal and state law enforcement agencies, and private instructors. He combines his real life experience with training to provide his students with concepts and tactics that work in the real world. He is known for his ability to motivate students with a dynamic style of instruction and positive winning mindset. His training program is not only about how to shoot more effectively, it is about self improvement and becoming the best you can be. His innovative concepts are presented in a logical and professional manner, leaving you with a hard-earned sense of accomplishment.
